The tuning truth

Most piano shops don't tell you this.

Every piano goes out of tune after being moved — it's completely normal. The change in environment, humidity and temperature affects the strings. Most shops leave you to figure this out yourself. We don't. A certified tuner is automatically booked for 3–4 weeks after your delivery, completely free, so your piano sounds perfect from day one.

We deliver across the whole of greater Melbourne as standard — included in the price of every piano. We also cover the Mornington Peninsula, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and most of regional Victoria, typically within a week of your scheduled date. For deliveries beyond Victoria, give us a call and we'll arrange a freight-tracked service through one of our specialist piano-removal partners.
It's extremely rare — every piano is professionally crated and our drivers are piano specialists, not general couriers. But if anything is damaged in transit, the 10-year warranty covers it from day one. Send us a photo and we'll either repair it in your home or replace the piano entirely. The pickup and delivery photos we automatically capture serve as the before-and-after record, so there's never any back-and-forth about what happened.
Yes. Once your order is confirmed, you'll get access to your customer portal where you can choose a delivery date and a two-hour arrival window that suits you. We deliver Monday to Saturday across greater Melbourne, and we'll confirm the exact time slot the day before. Need to reschedule? You can change the date right up to 48 hours before delivery, no questions asked.
Every structural and mechanical component of your piano — soundboard, frame, pin block, action, hammers, dampers, keys, pedals and case. If any part fails through normal use over the next 10 years, we repair or replace it at no cost to you. The warranty is fully transferable if you ever sell the piano, which is a big part of why Signature instruments hold their resale value so well.
Most used-piano shops in Melbourne offer three to six months of warranty — some don't offer any cover at all on second-hand instruments. Ours is a full 10 years on every single piano we sell, new or pre-loved. It's not a marketing line; it's a deliberate signal of confidence. Every piano we list has been hand-selected in Japan, fully restored in our Melbourne workshop, and tested through dozens of quality checks before it reaches the showroom floor. If we don't believe a piano will perform beautifully for a decade, we don't sell it. The 10-year warranty is simply the receipt for that standard.
Your first tuning at 3–4 weeks after delivery is included. After that, most pianos need a tune every 6 to 12 months depending on use, humidity and the climate of your room. You can book follow-up tunings directly through your customer portal — we work with a network of certified Melbourne tuners and you'll always get a known-good rate. Owners who join our Care Plan get unlimited tunings for a flat annual fee, but it's completely optional.
