What isthe U1A?
The Yamaha U1A is a pre-loved 121 cm upright piano, built in Japan from 1982 to 1987 and imported to Melbourne by Signature Pianos. Yamaha itself calls the U1A a long-seller. It measures 121 cm tall, 150 cm wide and 61 cm deep, with soft, muffler and damper pedals. The muffler lowers a strip of felt over the strings for quieter practice.
